Mary Poppins Returns @ The Grounds

Cherry blossoms, kites, bubbles and bikes. The latest installation at The Grounds is practically perfect in every way!

When it comes to an immersive and magical garden experience, no one does it better than The Grounds. Inspired by Disney's Mary Poppins Returns the laneway at The Grounds of Alexandria has been transformed into Cherry Tree Lane, complete with pink bikes, bubbles, giant candy displays, kite cakes and framed by the most gorgeous pink cherry blossom trees.

If you haven't yet seen the movie, go see it! It is a sequel to the 1964 classic and sees Mary Poppins return to help the next generation of Banks children with the same whimsy, magic and sense of wonder as the original. Emily Blunt is brilliant as Mary Poppins, the songs are contagious, the costumes are divine and Meryl Streep makes a guest appearance as Mary Poppins' crazy cousin Topsy.

The kids and I watched the movie the day before we visited The Grounds and were absolutely blown away by all the similarities and references from the movie.
